‘Paint like you are always curious and willing to destroy the bits you are attached to’

 - Nada Kezu

Nada Kezu is an abstract artist based in Melbourne, Australia.

Growing up in the 1990s on the Gold Coast, her father was a builder and mother a classically trained painter. From an early age, she was drawn to the materials used on the construction sites, heavy, gritty and textural with colour pops, bright and punchy.

Her artistic curiosity is drawn from her life experiences, memories, emotions & the urban landscapes of her surroundings.

Emerging from an interplay of intentional and spontaneous body movements and brush strokes, her artworks often feature heavily stabbed canvases dripping in vivid colours of paint.

Nadas' provocative pieces present a window to an inner world, cerebral and complex.

Textural layers and aggressive brush strokes invite the viewer to consider their own experiences and discover obscurities in the compositions, both real and imagined.

The goal of Nadas' artistic practice is to expel and transform the cyclic nature of emotions onto canvas and celebrate the resilient human experience.
